About the author
Delia Grace is the program leader for the Food Safety and Zoonoses program at the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI). She is a veterinary epidemiologist and food safety specialist. Currently, her research work involves developing and managing risk-based approaches to animal diseases, particularly zoonoses (animal diseases that can be transmitted to humans), in developing countries.
